About PASCO

PASCO is a joint venture established on 1st May 1977 amongst BP, Shell and local partners based in Jeddah. The company has aviation refueling operations at Jeddah, Medina and throughput facilities at other airports in the KSA.

In late 1940's, as part of Consolidated Services, BP and Shell were the first to establish and operate Aviation Aircraft Refueling Services in the KSA through its partner Saudi Arabian Markets Ltd. (SAM).

The agency operation was converted into a Joint Venture Company named Peninsular Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (PASCO)

Jeddah Airport Operations

Jeddah Airport is the busiest airport in Saudi Arabia with expansion work by government in progress. PASCO is one of the key fuel suppliers capable of performing both Hydrant and Bowser fueling with well trained and experienced staff capable of handling complex fueling operation during peak Hajj and Umrah season.

We do have access to general aviation apron and can fuel any type of aircraft.

Medina Airport Operations

PASCO played an active role in the development of Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz International Airport at Medina and the achievement of the ambitious governmental plan to increase air traffic at the airport. PASCO is a partner and 50% owner of the Medina Aviation Consortium (MAC) which is a fully incorporated entity that has been granted by TIBAH an exclusive right to operate the fuel farm system and fuel logistics up to 2037.

PASCO has a brand-new fleet of fuel dispensers capable of handling 10 flights at a time.

Medina AFSS is the most modern facility and is first of its kind in Saudi Arabia to use Programmable Logical Control (PLC) system fully atomized to control the flow of fuel without human intervention monitored and managed by most sophisticated software SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition).
Hydrant system has 11.5 Km control loop which facilitates uninterrupted fuel supply in case of maintenance and failure.
The Leak Detection System examines the hydrant pipeline network for leakages using a statistical data analysis technique, pin-pointing exact leakage location.

AFSS is built with dedicated in-house firefighting system (water and foam) supported by 3 million liters water tank. Automated system with heat sensors and control signal system is linked with airport firefighting department.
Two stand-by power generators are in place facilitating uninterrupted power supply to AFSS in case of power outage.

Some of the key features and advantages of the AFSS facilities include but not limited to the following:

Access to Hydrant Fueling with 73 Hydrant pits.
Access to increased storage capacity (15 Million Liters), facilitating uninterrupted fuel supply during peak activity. Additional 4 million buffer capacity from old storage tanks.
Brand new dispensers helping to increase the flow rate from 1,800 to 3,800 liters/min achieving faster and efficient fueling.
Brand new pumps, motors and filters contributing to a smoother and safer operations.
Parking at hydrant aprons makes it easier to use aerobridge option.
Team of 50 professional staff to support any challenging operational requirements.
